Vietnam Airlines Helps Deliver Medical Care to Children in Need

Since 2023, Vietnam Airlines has partnered with the VinaCapital Foundation’s Screening Program to bring medical teams and essential equipment to children in remote areas, where access to medical care is limited. In 2023, through miles donated by LotuSmiles members, Vietnam Airlines helped facilitate 9 screening flights, enabling over 73,000 children to receive free heart screenings.

Over the past three months, the airline’s blue wings have continued their mission, flying medical teams to the remote provinces of Dak Lak, Quang Binh, and Quang Nam. The teams screened and performed ultrasounds on over 10,000 children, identifying 67 cases of congenital heart disease, with 44 children requiring urgent intervention or surgery.
